平成26年9月28-30日の3日間、The 3rd Human Biology Symposiumを開催
平成26年9月28日(金)、29日(土)、30日(日)の3日間、筑波大学大学会館及び５C棟で全学イベントである「つくばグローバルサイエンスウィーク2014」が開催されました。その中で、HBPはAging Sciencesセッション(28日～30日)とStudent Presentationsセッション(28日～29日)をThe 3rd Human Biology Symposiumとして共催しました。
また、「Systems Biology Science Café」と「Neuroscience Café」を共催しました。
Aging Science セッションでは、国内外の世界を代表する研究者37名による研究発表が行われ、学生にとって最先端研究がどのようなものかを目のあたりにする素晴らしい機会となりました。以前に読んだ論文の執筆者に会って話をする機会を得られたことに感動する生徒も見受けられました。
Student Presentationsセッションでは、口頭発表2名、ポスター発表4名のHBP学生を含む64名の学生が発表しました。第一級の研究者から研究の核心を突く質問を受け、世界のトップレベルを体感できる良い機会となりました。夜のバンケットでは、自分の弱点や今後の研究へのアプローチの仕方についてさらに深い討論ができるとともに、同世代の研究者の卵たちと親密な関係を築くことができ、未来に向けた有意義な時間を過ごしました。

HBP 1年 Haojun Xu “Excellent Speaker Award”
It was really surprising for me to get the award at TGSW this year and I have to thank a lot of people who helped me out and supported me on the project all the time. And for the most important, I have to thank TGSW for providing such a great platform that let us communicate with great scientists and young research students at once. As I learnt from the presentation this time, Q&A session at TGSW made us realize more possibility of our own research from those who might share different majors but same sensitivity and passion to science. It's not criticizing, but collision of thinking.
HBP 2年 石川 祐 “Best Poster Award”
It was a great honor for me to get the best poster award in TGSW 2014. I was surprised when my name was called. In poster presentation, I tried to tell you how wonderful reproduction research is because every life start from the fertilization in mammal. I will keep up motivation to discover something new in reproduction phenomena. Thank you very much.
HBP 2年 新妻 耕太 “Excellent poster Award”
It was a great opportunity to share our work with many students from all over the world. I was given valuable advice and suggestion from the discussion by using my poster. I learned importance of experiences to tell scientists in other fields about what my research is. My motivation to study was extremely increased by TGSW. I thank my supervisor, members in department of immunology, and all staff in TGSW.
