The Ph.D. Program in Human Biology is a 5 year doctoral program integrating biological science, medicine, computational science, and materials science.

Mr. Takato Honda, a 1st-year HBP student, received the President’s Award on March 20, 2014. As a representative of graduate students receiving the President’s Award, he was given a certificate of commendation and testimonial bronze sculpture by Dr. Kyosuke Nagata, President of the University of Tsukuba. Mr. Honda also made a short speech to extend his gratitude following the award ceremony.

Throughout academic year 2013/14, Mr. Honda has been awarded multiple prizes at conferences and symposia held in Japan and overseas, and his distinguished achievement further led him deserve the President’s Award accordingly.
