By JR Joban Line

Take the JR Joban line from Ueno Station and get off at one of these stations: Hitachino Ushiku, Arakawaoki, or Tsuchiura Station (about 1 hour), and take the bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo at Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo.

By Tsukuba Express (TX)

Take the Tsukuba Express (rapid service) from Akihabara Station to Tsukuba Station (45 minutes).
From bus stop 6 at the Tsukuba Center, take the bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo or the University Loop-line On-campus Bus [Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan Bus] (counterclockwise) to Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo.

By Express Bus

Take the Express Bus bound for Tsukuba Center or Tsukuba Daigaku (Terminal) from Tokyo Station, Yaesu South Exit (about 1 hour).
If you take the bus bound for Tsukuba Center, transfer to the bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo or the University Loop-line On-campus Bus [Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan Bus] (counterclockwise), at Tsukuba Center, to Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo (about 10 minutes).

From the Airport

From Narita Airport
Take the bus bound for Tsukuba Center (about 1 hour and 40 minutes), and, transfer to the bus bound for the University Loop-line On-campus Bus [Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan Bus] (counterclockwise) at Tsukuba Center (about 10 minutes).

From Haneda Airport
Take the bus bound for Tsukuba Center (about 2 hours) and transfer to the bus bound for the University Loop-line On-campus Bus [Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan Bus] (counterclockwise) at Tsukuba Center (about 10 minutes).

From Ibaraki Airport
Take the bus bound for Tsukuba Center (about 1 hour) and transfer to the the University Loop-line On-campus Bus [Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan Bus] (counterclockwise) at Tsukuba Center (about 10 minutes).

By car

Driving directions from Joban Expressway
Take the Sakura Tsuchiura Interchange Exit and turn left toward Tsukuba > Turn right at Sasagi Intersection > Drive further north onto Prefectural Highway 55 (Higashi Odori (East Avenue) > Turn left at the signal, into Tsukuba Chuo Iriguchi (Main Entrance) (about 8 km)

Driving directions from Route 6
Drive north on Prefectural Highway 55 (Higashi Odori (East Avenue) > Go past the Sasagi Intersection > Turn left at the signal, into Tsukuba Chuo Iriguchi (Main Entrance)

Parking
Parking permits will be issued for visitors at the Main Gate Information Center or the Matsumi-guchi Annai Center.
